Bobbys first challenge..conquer 1/2nlhe 6max on FTP

BoBBybadfingers has long been playing everything FTP has to offer. Everything from 5 dollar sngos to 10/20nlhe to 30/60 limit holdem. My massive ADD problem keeps me sticking to one game for very long. But the one game that has consistantly made me the most money is NLHE 6max tables. I truely think when I'm on my "A-game" at those tables I'm tough to beat, at any level I've played. And with the help of some of the software that I have recently purchased I think I can finally make a run at moving up in the world of NLHE 6max games. The key for me is disclipline, to stick to strictly these games, not wonder off and do something like I usually do and play a 110$ hu sngo, or play 3/6 nlhu. So For starters I'm going to start at the 1/2nlhe 6max tables on January 1st with 20 buyins (4k). The goal is to make enough in January playing 1/2 to be able to jump up to 2/4 in feb. To play 2/4 comfortably I feel ill need at least 12k. So ill make a hard but attainable goal of making 8k this month playing 1/2 (not counting rakebreak). Hopefully this challenge/ goal blog will help give me the ambition to reach this goal. On another note I would like to thank my buddy John for his help with some software issues..http://jonmiller50000pokerchallenge.blogspot.com/....john is only at the .10/.25nlhe levels now, but he is more than on the right track for success. I predict he will be a force to be reckoned at NLHE 6max games in the near future. But for all you sad souls planning on making a profit playing 1/2nlhe in the month of Jan. U better look out for ... Photobucket - Video and Image Hostingbecause he will be beating up on muppets like they owe him money.

The Race

The Race
I have been playing online poker consistantly for over a year now and you can could find me playing anything from a 5$ sngo to 10/20nlhe.. But mostly over the last year "my game" has been 1/2nlhe, I've had brief stints of 2/4 and 3/6 nlhe, but my main source of income has been multitabling 1/2. . There was a time when i used to want to play online poker every waking second, it wasnt just about the money, it was fun. But those days are gone, now its just a job. So when I dont have a work schedule or a boss and im bored with what i do its hard to find any ambition to " go to work". So me and a fellow grinder tryed to make a competition to make it a little more interesting. We each start with 2k playing 1/2nlhe, and the first one to get to 6k wins. not sure what I will win from this..wait i mean what one of us will win from this. but right now it looks like its just going to be pride. but im sure that will change.. honestly im not worried.. look at this muppet..Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting haha actually the legend J gold himself will probably smoke me but ill give it a shot anyway.

worst HU beat yet

I usually play 1/2(200max)-2/4(400max) NLHE cash games online. I play anywhere from 4-12 tables at a time and those games are basically my job.. But after quabillions of hands at those stakes I dont seem to get same kind of excitement as i used to after/during winning and losing big pots. So occasionally I will take a shot at something higher just to feed my gambling problem..just to get the juices flowing again......soooo im just getting done putting a little mini session of 2/4hu in I was up $500-600 after not very many hands ... So i figured it was as good as time as any to jumpit up a little. So i takea gander at the 3/6nl hu tables ..and look out theres a guy sitting byhimself at one with $1200..and I happened to have a note on this guy that read "bigtimedonkey" so i figured what the hell and hopped in for the max $600....I play hu very aggresively usually..raising in position almost everytime preflop, continuation betting on flops..and this match was no exception..there was a lot of action... then this hand came about...
